"To learn how to achieve concentration, the body first must be purified, and then mental strength developed. The method for purifying and strengthening the body is called asana. When the body is purified, the breath also becomes purified, and the diseases of the body are eliminated."
— Yoga Master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India

« Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga »
In the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga Master
Sri K. Pattabhi Jois

Pineapple Yoga is in the process of fund raising for the development of a Sacred Geometry Temple to serve the community of Kauai with traditional "Mysore Style" Ashtanga Yoga classes. The Pineapple Yoga Temple will serve and honor the Ashtanga Yoga practice by presenting the system just as it is taught in Mysore, India at the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute. Prem and Heather's 6th time to return teaching at Pineapple Yoga will be:

July 1st until October 31st 2010
Pineapple Yoga's "Annual Guest Teachers": Anthony "Prem" Carlisi and his partner Heather Duplex.

2010 will mark the 6th year Prem and Heather have come to teach the "Mysore Style" classes on Kauai at Pineapple Yoga, thus making them a part of our North Shore Ashtanga Yoga Ohana (family). Their return will once again be a blessing to all of us that are able to experience their care and devotion to the practice of traditional Ashtanga Yoga.
Mahalo to Prem and Heather!
